The easiest $50 you'll ever makeIf there's a word that I hate more than any other, it would be blogosphere. It's a stupid, pointless word, made up to try and represent an intangible, possibly already redundant concept. The more I hear it the more I want to lodge a meat cleaver into my brain. For me, blogosphere sits below pneumonia and TomKat. I hate the blogosphere. It's like catching the AIDS.
There is a yang to my yin, there are words that I find unexpectedly beautiful. You won't find them here. Beauty sells Cleo magazines, amputee smut sells Internet sites.
I promise that I'll never expose you, my audience, to this abortion of a word ever again. I have AUD$50 taped to my computer for the first person who catches me using the word "blogosphere" after this post. That goes for posts, comments, email or otherwise.
Of course it's not really taped to my computer, anyone living in a sharehouse will understand that money needs to be kept in an acid-lined alligator pit. That fifty is as good as yours if I have a moment of weakness.

How much is that in Euros? I may take the pain to scan your own private blogosphere ... :D Anyway, why so angry about the word? You have something against spheres? Or it bothers you the use of "umbrella" concepts?
Or he's doing the "everyone vocally likes it therefore i vocally hate it" thing which is almost the same thing as being in the "vocally liking" crowd ;-D But hey an offer of $50 is an offer of $50. Will that be $50 once the word has been sited and after that it's no longer redeemable, or will that be $50 for every one of the 13,247 people who will find that particular instance of the word "blogosphere"? Hey I think I just answered my own question!
Any particular reason you chose that side of the $50 note to show to us? Why couldn't we look at Edith Cowan instead?
